Quality: Care : Excellence
Windmill Dental Care’s mission is to provide the highest quality life time dental care in a professional, caring and welcoming environment. At its heart we are a family practice who has provided personalised care for over 23 years. Our aim is to treat each patient with dignity, respect, kindness and understanding, while striving to understand your needs and exceed your expectations.
Whether you are looking for a dental surgery who is registering new patients or you have broken tooth, missing filling or toothache and wish an "emergency dental appointment" we are here to help. We genuinely do care!
Patients often search for a "dentist near me" however while we are based in Motherwell we have excellent access for all by road (just of the M74) and rail (Motherwell and Airbles Road train stations).
Our Most Popular Dental
Dental Veneers are used to cosmetically enhance the appearance of one or more teeth. They help improve the colour, shape and position of teeth, including chipped teeth. The dental veneer is made from a thin layer of porcelain fitted over the front facing surface of a tooth. The procedure has been likened to false nails being stuck on top of real nails. To find out if you are suitable for dental veneers why not book a free consultation today.
Tooth whitening is a hugely popular cosmetic treatment that when provided by trained dental professionals can provide fantastic results. Our tooth colour is defined by our DNA but we can give nature a helping hand to give you that perfect smile. Whitening is one of the kindest ways to boost your smile confidence and wind the clock back on your smile by a few years. Give us a call today to find out if tooth whitening will work for you.
Composite "white" fillings – also known as tooth-coloured fillings – are dental restorations designed to be inconspicuous and natural in appearance. They blend well with the teeth and appear more natural than amalgam fillings, which are darker and more easily seen by other people. They can be used to fill in decayed areas of the teeth, as well as to help repair chipped or broken teeth. Due to their bonding nature Composite fillings may allow dentists to preserve more of the natural tooth structure compared to amalgam (metal) fillings.

"I provide a wide range of high quality NHS and private treatments tailored to individual needs. I understand that many patients are nervous about attending the dentist and put them at ease by taking the time to get to know them and building a trusting relationship with them. Windmill Dental Care prides itself on being a family practice and I place particular emphasis on making visits fun for children and educating families on the prevention of dental problems."
"My main focus is patient care for all the family whether it be NHS, Private or Denplan care. I strongly believe that all dentists should listen very carefully and understand patient's needs and concerns before, during and after treatment. Preventative Dentistry is the key to oral health life care but I also have a keen interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and pride myself on my ability for attention to detail. I am also fully qualified in the use of facial cosmetics and take great joy in watching how minimal amounts of treatments can transform a patient."
"My area of interest in dentistry is Restorative Dentistry and I have been awarded a Masters Degree in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. My extensive training in Cosmetic Dentistry helps me provide the smile my patients ask for- something which makes me very happy! I enjoy working with kids and patients who are anxious of dental treatment and find it rewarding to see them complete their treatment."
"Cannot thank Dr McIntyre and the staff enough. Very professional from start to finish"
"Never thought I would ever say it but I actually enjoyed my visit to Windmill Dental Care! They explained everything in detail and helped me relax throughout."
"At last I have found a dentist I can trust. I have just finished a course of treatment and it was pain free. "
