At Windmill Dental Care we believe dental care is for life!
Preventative care is the key to a healthy mouth and we encourage parents to bring their children from as an early an age as possible. Lessons learned early will serve you for life.
Taking your baby to the dental practice as early as possible helps them to get used to the sights, sounds and smells of a dental practice and give you access to information, advice and support for looking after your child's teeth.
-Teething normally starts from around the age of 6 months.
Tooth decay is preventable. Keep your child’s first teeth healthy!
-Food and drinks containing sugar should be kept to a minimum and are best given at mealtimes. Find information on hidden sugars in food and drinks
-Choose healthy and nutritious foods and drinks
-Brush teeth at least twice a day for at least two minutes with fluoride toothpaste.
'Spit, don’t rinse’ after brushing – this gives the toothpaste time to work to protect teeth.
